Myocardial infarction is a major diagnostic and therapeutic emergency. It is a disease on the increase, and smoking is singled out as one of the main causative factors. The aim of this study was therefore to compare acute coronary syndrome in smokers and non-smokers from a clinical and therapeutic point of view, to describe the characteristics of their smoking habits and the results of a weaning strategy.Previous attempts to quit smoking and late age of onset were found to be predictive of effective cessation.
