In order to study the impact of urban and industrial discharges on the Oranese coastline, seawater samples were taken over a period of four (04) months, from February 2012 to May 2012, at a set of eight (08) stations close to wastewater discharges, and analyzed from a physico-chemical point of view. The results show that the most contaminated sites are those closest to the port of Oran (Fort Lamoune, Bassin de Mostaganem, Bassin de Bejaia, Cueva Del Agua), with levels of total nitrogen, heavy metals and other studied parameters above the standards authorized by Algerian law. Contamination is lower at : Cap Blanc, les Andalouses, Kristel and Mers el Hadjaj.
