Raghav Rao was born in Mumbai, India. He grew up in London, Los Angeles, and Southern India. He graduated from the University of Chicago and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He is a member of the Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, and The Office of Modern Composition. He enjoys bird-watching, playing squash, and biking the lakefront trail.
