Illusion in children is a common and natural developmental phenomenon. Children have vivid, creative imaginations that enable them to see the world differently from adults. Sometimes, this imagination can lead them to believe in things that are not real or that are exaggerated. These exaggerated or false beliefs can be positive or negative, but they can all have an impact on a child's emotional and behavioral life. Children's illusions can be fuelled by a variety of factors, such as the influence of culture, family or peers, and adult errors of perception or communication. Managing these illusions is important to help children understand reality and develop their autonomy and emotional well-being.
