Professor Ronald I. C. Bartsch AM is a world-renowned aviation lawyer, academic, airline executive and international consultant. The author has been a pilot for 50 years and holds a current Air Transport Pilot Licence. Ron was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for his 'significant contribution to aviation law, and safety and compliance' in the Australia Day Honours in 2021.
