About the author
Alec Grant, PhD, was a Visiting Professor at the University of Bolton, but from 2024 has reverted to his nonaffiliated title of Independent Scholar. He was the recipient of the ICAE Inaugural Lifetime Contribution Award in 2020 and is widely published in journals such as
Qualitative Inquiry, The Qualitative Report, and the
Journal of Autoethnography.
Jerome Carson, PhD, is Professor of Psychology at the University of Bolton. He did his Psychology degree at the University of Reading and trained as a clinical psychologist at the University of East London. He was awarded his PhD by King's College London in 2005.
