Conventional methods of creating prosthetics have undergone a complete metamorphosis, offering numerous advantages such as heightened customization, precision & productivity. Whether it pertains to the intricate crafting of dental implants or the precise modeling of dental structures, 3D printing has emerged as a disruptive influence in dentistry, opening up fresh avenues for enhancing patient care and advancing treatment modalities. However, the journey of progress doesn't halt there. The advent of 4D printing, facilitating materials to dynamically change their form based on external triggers, presents even more prospects for innovation. This dissertation focuses on recent advancements, potential applications as well as delves into the challenges & opportunities of 3D and 4D printing in dentistry.
