About the author

Dr Jessica LaMae Whited is a biologist and assistant professor at Harvard University. Her lab investigates how axolotls regenerate limbs. Jessica earned undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Biological Sciences at the University of Missouri and a PhD in Biology at MIT. Her scientific career was sparked by exploring woods and fields as a child. Jessica loves axolotls because they hold so many mysteries.Bethany Lord is a freelance Illustrator based in London. She draws on her experiences from traveling and experiencing different cultures, to create new pieces of work. She is the author and illustrator of Look Down and See Natural Wonders of the World.
