The scientific and technological development achieved by humanity imposes changes in the conceptions of the teaching-learning processes in universities. Society demands professionals with intellectual skills that allow them to carry out self-regulated learning. This book presents a research carried out at the University of Artemisa with the objective of proposing a didactic conception for the development of intellectual skills and self-regulated learning in undergraduate students of the Bachelor's Degree in Biology Education. The result of the research consists of a didactic conception where basic intellectual skills of the discipline Human Anatomy and Physiology and metacognitive intellectual skills are developed, which are essential to achieve self-regulated learning in students.

É directora do curso de Licenciatura em Educação Biológica e das disciplinas de Zoologia Geral e Anatomia e Fisiologia Humana na Universidade de Artemisa, Cuba.
