This research analyzes from a critical perspective the situation faced by Nicaraguan women migrant domestic workers in Costa Rica. Their experiences reflect serious conflicts that surround the efforts oriented to the execution of theoretical and practical articulations between the condition of being a migrant woman and a domestic worker. The study was carried out by collecting legal information from Costa Rican legislation to combine it with specialized research on domestic work and anecdotes (mostly) of Nicaraguan migrant domestic workers in Costa Rica affiliated to ASTRADOMES (Association of Domestic Workers in Costa Rica). These experiences make visible the violations of fundamental and labor rights that this sector undergoes in its social and labor integration.
