Beans are an important source of protein in human nutrition and are grown worldwide in a wide variety of production systems. Due to the need to apply nitrogen (N) in order to achieve better development and consequently better productivity, the aim of this study was to assess the behaviour of the bean crop, verifying the growth and productivity parameters of irrigated beans using different doses of nitrogen that were applied or not on the pre-defined dates.
