About the author










Elizabeth Haywood trained as a patternmaker, combining her love of maths, drawing, fabric and stationery. She was fortunate to find something she loved doing early on in adult life and remained passionate about patternmaking over a twenty year career in clothing manufacture.
She now writes and teaches sewing, and is the author of the award-winning The Dressmaker's Companion-A practical guide to sewing clothes.
