The aim of this work is to justify the role of the Caçulo de Melo Mounted Police Regiment to the community living in the Benguí neighbourhood in the city of Belém. When the research was carried out through the application of questionnaires, we found an understanding of the mounted form in the application of policing, and how it influences the social dynamics of the neighbourhood in terms of public safety and its reflexes in the sense of security for residents and economic impulse favouring the growth and development of the neighbourhood.
