Young Chadians living in urban areas are in favour of the least effort, personal initiative and the role of job creation. They are reluctant to take the initiative because of their wait-and-see attitude. Yet youth is not a period of life, it is a state of mind, an effect of the will, a quality of the imagination, an emotional intensity, a victory of courage over timidity, of the taste for adventure over the love of comfort. In the province of N'Djaména (Chad's political capital), young people are constantly deploying their strategies, often informally, by forming groups in micro-enterprises. This aroused our curiosity to understand the reasons that motivate these determined young entrepreneurs. In other words, are young people capable of initiating, planning and managing a business in order to contribute to sustainable development? The data collected during the focus group enables us to verify the issue of youth entrepreneurship in the provinces.
