Rock Weathering and Evolution - OF SEDIMENTARY COVER OVER THE ARABO-NUBIAN SHIELD. DE

The present book consists of four conference papers written by a single author or published due to cooperation with his co-workers and colleagues. Themes of the first two papers are selected on lateritic rook weathering of crystalline rocks and the next two papers are complementary processes covering sedimentation and tectonics of sedimentary cover developed during Phanerozoic times separately either over the Nubian shield in southern Egypt or in the Rifted edge of the Arabia shield at Saudi Arabia. Their importance is what they offer for researchers in the field of sedimentology and because of their novelty and models that can be followed in other research in many other regions of the world.

About the author

Ezzat KhedrReceived his Ph.D. in geological studies on the scale of the mismatch between the rocks of the base and the Nubian sandstone in Aswan, Egypt. He travelled on a scientific mission to England where he worked as a visiting professor in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Leeds as well as in Saudi Arabia.
