Having 29 years of success with autism, I wrote this book to assist parents, caregivers or others supporting individuals with autism. Success can take on many meanings, and I hope I can provide tools, guidance and support to your success with autism. On my journey it was very difficult. Many times there was very little support, guidance or understanding, and this was very challenging and sometimes confusing for everyone involved. I want to share my knowledge to help make the lives of others easier as they travel through this journey. Our days can be extremely busy and full, and many of us do not have time to read-we barely have time for sleep. This is why I wrote this quick reference guide, as I realize your time is limited.

About the author

I was raised in a middle-class family. I started working at 13 in a family-owned business. I believe I was driven, smart, talented and compassionate. I had a diverse career working in healthcare, oil & gas, education, politics, electrical, customer service and retail. These positions overlapped, so I always had at least 8-10 years experience in each of them. Working in so many different systems, I knew how they operated. I love music and played the piano, acquiring my Grade 6 Conservatory of Music, voice lessons, and dancing, and I played all types of sports and won competitions. With writing, I won a trip to visit the Prime Minister of Canada. I owned and rode horses and went to branding parties. I had many pets which I adored, and we would visit and assist at a veterinary clinic. We always had family around us. I was exposed to so many wonderful things in life. I was truly blessed.
