About the author
Tadashi Nakano is a Professor in the Graduate School of Informatics, Osaka Metropolitan University, Japan. He conducts research at the intersection of computer science and biology, including design, implementation, and evaluation of molecular communication systems, synthetic biological systems, and biologically inspired systems. His research received the KDDI Foundation Award 2021.Andrew Eckford is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at York University, Canada. His research has appeared in media including The Economist and IEEE Spectrum. His research received the 2015 IET Communications Innovation Award, and was a finalist for the 2014 Bell Labs Prize.Tokuko Haraguchi is a Professor with the Graduate School of Science and Frontier Biosciences at Osaka University, Japan. Her research has appeared in media including Researchmap and Pubmed. Her research received the 5th Kono Yasui Prize- an Ochanomizu University Award. She is an Editorial Board member of Cell Structure and Function.
