About the author










Deborah L. Davis, PhD, is a developmental psychologist who has been researching and writing about perinatal crisis and bereavement since 1984. She has written seven books for parents experiencing crisis during pregnancy, birth, and beyond, including premature birth, parenting a baby in the NICU, making life-and-death medical decisions for babies and children, perinatal hospice and palliative care, and mourning the death of a baby at any time during pregnancy or infancy. She has also contributed to a number of other books for parents, plus book chapters, position statements, practice guidelines, and workshops for professionals.
