About the author










José Augusto Mendonça was born on 15 April 1970 in Bissau, Republic of Guinea-Bissau. The son of Armando Mendonça and Irene Pedro Gomes, he is habitually married and the father of three children (one boy and two girls). A journalist by profession and a graduate of the University of Guinea for Lusophones (ULG), he has won several literary prizes.
