Epidemiology and risk assessment for the presence of ectoparasites - in commercial laying farms. DE

This study describes the main predisposing characteristics related to the presence of ectoparasites on poultry farms. Information from the environment, the birds and the ectoparasites was analyzed and results were obtained that made it possible to qualify them as important aspects in the epidemiology of these parasites on laying poultry farms.

About the author

She holds a Master's degree in Animal Science with a concentration in Epidemiology and is a specialist in Microbiology at UFMG. She has carried out research into ectoparasites in poultry farms. She works mainly on the following subjects: Epidemiology, Ectoparasites, Ornithonyssus sylviarum, Megninia spp., Dermanyssus gallinae, Phytoptera, Diptera and Education.
