About the author

Reuben H. Karol is a Consulting Engineer in chemical grouting and Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey. Mr. Karol has a long-standing relationship with Rutgers University (1940- 1943, 1946- 1951, 1967-present) and currently teaches ground improvement courses. Previously, Mr. Karol was Director of the Engineering Chemicals Research Center for the American Cyanamid Company (1956-1967) and was President of Karol Warner, Inc. (1951-1984). Mr. Karol is the author of three books and over 20 papers, and holds six patents. A member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Society for Testing Materials, he served as Chair of their Grouting Committees (1976- 1986). Mr. Karol received the B.S (1947) and M.S. (1949) degrees in civil engineering from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey.
