Jumping off a diving board and spinning in the air? What's this have to do with mathematics? Join good friends Anna Lize and Saul Van Chek as they play around in Saul's pool thinking about fractions, percents, and angles within a circle during this mind-stretching adventure. Readers immersing themselves in this rhymed story will explore and learn, in an engaging, intuitive, and fun manner, how to use the relationships that fractions, percents, and angles share to add and subtract these quantities!¿¿¿¿¿¿¿

About the author

Norm Lyons, a middle school math teacher of 20 years, loves sharing his passion for the beauty, logic, intuitiveness, pragmatism, and applicability of math concepts. He believes students can easily tap into their "analytic common sense" to understand, appreciate, marvel at, and apply all levels of such concepts, particularly when this subject matter is cleverly and creatively woven into relatable, fun-to-read, replicable, game-based stories or scenarios. In this book, Norm's love of wordplay and rhyming is overlaid onto his exploration of math concepts. When he's not writing, he can be found hiking, playing Pickleball (what else?!), hanging out with his dachshunds, reading, and still trying to learn the guitar! He currently resides in San Rafael, CA, with his wife. This book is illustrated by Indigo Prasad, a former student of Norm's!
