All over the world, families and communities are key providers of care and support. This is particularly true in relation to serious illnesses such as HIV and AIDS. Yet families and communities can also stigmatize their members, leaving people to die in the most appalling conditions. This book looks at the diversity of family and community responses to HIV and AIDS.
