About the author
Katherine Natanel is a Senior Lecturer in Gender Studies at the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, University of Exeter. Her research engages with political participation and mobilization; conflict and political violence; and affect and political emotions, primarily in the context of Palestine/Israel. Her first book,
Sustaining Conflict: Apathy and Domination in Israel-Palestine, was awarded the 2017 Feminist and Women's Studies Association (UK & Ireland) Book Prize. Katie is the Executive Editor for Middle East Research and Information Project (MERIP).
