Pediatric urinary tract infections (UTIs), such as cystitis and pyelonephritis, pose a public health challenge due to their high frequency and complexity of treatment. Diagnosis, based on urine cytobacteriological examination (UCE) and antibiogram, enabled us to identify several pathogens,Escherichia coli being the most predominant (70.40%). Our results also highlighted a higher prevalence in girls (25.35%), particularly in the 28 days to 23 months age group (49.30%). These findings underline the importance of targeted antibiotic therapy, particularly forE. coli, and highlight the need for age- and gender-specific prevention strategies.
