In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the large scale production of polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB), a biodegradable polymer with immense potential for sustaiable materials. This thesis aims to explore the intricacies of PHB production on a grand scale and delve into the comparative analysis of production from halophilic and non halophilics strains. By investigating the unique characteristics and metabolic pathways of these microbial strains, we seek to shed light on the efficiency, yield and quality of PHB production. Through comprehensive examination of various production methods, fermentation conditions, and down stream processing techniques. This study aims the contribute to the advancement of sustainable manufacturing practices and provide insights into the suitability of halophilic and non halophilic strains for large scale PHB production.
