This study is entitled "Analyse de L'action (1893) de Maurice Blondel : Approche thématique et sociocritique", and sets out to investigate human action. The book itself consists of five chapters. The first chapter is a general introduction, providing an overview and the main concepts related to the subject. It examines how human beings are compelled to act in order to sustain their lives. The second chapter is devoted to Blondel's life, his main works and a summary of L'action (1893). The third chapter describes the methodology used to achieve the research objectives, in particular the thematic and sociocritical methods. Chapter four is the backbone of the entire research document. It includes the presentation, analysis and interpretation of the results. It shows how the problem of action is unavoidable, and how Blondel finds the positive solution: living and acting are linked and interdependent. On the other hand, this chapter aims to demonstrate that reflection and action, while not identical, are both intertwined and inextricable.
