The publication of this book is the result of research into the importance of the social worker's work in the socio-legal field, identifying the technical-operational tools that support the work of the Social Service in adoption processes. The research was developed to obtain a bachelor's degree in Social Work, carried out in 2022 under the guidance of Professor Marcos Antonio Klazura. In order to carry out this study, it was necessary to describe the historical process involving the institutionalization of children and adolescents, identifying adoption as one of the protective measures for children and adolescents; to present the adoption process in Brazil, which aims to ensure the right to family and community life, reflecting the rights of children and adolescents based on the laws that regulate this protective measure; and finally, to learn about the technical-operational instruments of Social Work in the Judiciary in relation to the adoption process. Happy reading!
