This research demonstrated the influence of the Moche River contamination on abiota and diseases in the rural area of the Moche district, Trujillo, La Libertad. Two instruments were administered in the investigation: The questionnaire on contamination of the Moche River and the questionnaire on abiota and diseases, considering a study sample of 334 inhabitants, with a non-experimental, transectional correlational causal design. Result: The contamination of the Moche river has a significant influence (p<0.01) on the abiota and diseases of the inhabitants of the rural area of the district of Moche, Province of Trujillo.
