In the religious anthropology of Christianity, human society is created in the image of the Holy Trinity, and the individual human being is perceived as a flawed individual with powerful energies, such as the energy of sexuality. The binding energy in human society is divine love. Love knows no shame, no hostile evaluation, since shame came about as a result of the fall into sin and it became something akin to a hostile gaze.
