Ideology and Ideology Critique (and what to do with them)

Beginning in the late 18th century, with the Enlightenment, the concept of "ideology" has had a crucial place in social and political thought. However, in the second half of the 20th century, some critics pointed out its problematic formulations and decided that it is better to abandon it. Because of its long, discussion filled history, the concept of "ideology" is now, almost impossible to define. This study focuses on this predicament and tries for a new definition of ideology.
