"A picture book celebrating immigrants from all over the world and teaching an empowering message of inclusivity to young readers"--

About the author

Carolina Fernandez is proud to belong to a big Colombian family, who she calls an "army of love." Born in Miami, Florida, she draws inspiration from the melting-pot city where she grew up. Being raised by immigrants shaped her identity and worldview, fostering in her a deep love for community and a lifelong desire to use her talents for good. Carolina is passionate about creating works that evoke a sense of empathy and belonging in people of all ages.

Alyssa M. Gonzalez is a freelance illustrator based in Kansas City. She has a passion for creating vibrant depictions of the diversity she sees in her daily life. She infuses her experiences growing up in Miami, Florida, as the only child of Cuban-Colombian immigrant parents, into her artwork. She is the illustrator of other proudly Latine kids' books such as Tons of Palabras: Comida.
