Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) recently triggered a pandemic called coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), probably originating in bats. This disease was first reported in China and is now spreading rapidly around the world, causing thousands of cases every day.In Algeria, the use of medicinal plants has multiplied during the pandemic. In this context, we carried out a descriptive ethnobotanical survey via Google drive on Facebook, which enabled us to identify 22 species used by the Algerian population for the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.
