Summary

WHEN legendary music journalist Billy Sloan was fifteen years old he saw The Who play an incendiary live show at Green's Playhouse in Glasgow.

Foreword

Legendary music journalist Billy Sloan has been described as the John Peel of Scotland. He has interviewed musical icons and helped to launch the careers of huge international stars like Simple Minds and Lloyd Cole, all through his brilliant radio show and newspaper columns. Billed as "Scotland's No. 1 pop writer" in the era of Queen, Tina Turner, The Beatles and David Bowie, this is the story of four decades spent exploring the world with the most famous names in music, and how he helped take artists from obscurity to the bigtime.
