About the author

Michael Caputo studied Advertising and Graphic Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, and became a designer of children's novelty books, first for HarperCollins and then at Penguin, where he designed his own prize-winning pop-up books. He was introduced to quilting by his mother, a keen quilter, and he has taught quilting at The Institute and at Ray Stitch, both in London, and at shops and exhibitions in the States. When he is not working on his house project, renovating an 1860s townhouse in Jersey City, NJ, he is designing and making quilts for magazines, fabric manufacturers, friends and family.
