About the author

Maureen Downey's life has not been typical. When she was twelve years old, her family left her native Ireland, and by the time she was nineteen years of age, had travelled around the world and seen and experienced more than many of us do in a lifetime. Now a Canadian, Maureen is retired and living in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, where she finally has time to transform her experiences into stories. And she has a lot to tell!
