Gretchen Dykstra was the founding president of the National 9/11 Memorial Foundation, commissioner of the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs, and president of the Times Square Alliance. James P. Leary is professor emeritus of folklore and Scandinavian studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
