Reproduction strategies of peasant household units - Campesino Strategies of the Jucuapa River Sub-basin, Department of Matagalpa - Nicaragua

Peasant strategies refer to the mechanisms that family units practice to cope with nutritional minimums and satisfy their basic needs to ensure survival and social reproduction. A typology of the CDUs of the Jucuapa sub-basin is proposed in order to understand their functioning, the interaction between their productive and economic activities and the general direction of their evolution. In addition, the support provided to the CDUs by the institutions present in the Jucuapa sub-basin is analyzed.

Carlos José Lanza Valdivia, ressortissant nicaraguayen titulaire d'un diplôme d'ingénieur agronome de l'Université nationale autonome du Nicaragua, possède une expérience en matière de développement rural depuis 2011, dans le cadre de l'élaboration de programmes et de projets sociaux dans les zones rurales du département de Matagalpa. Il a effectué des recherches sur les stratégies de reproduction des paysans.
