The purpose of this research is to respond to the need of teachers to improve their educational strategies and professional performance. The objective of this research was to determine the actual state of the level of development of teamwork in the professional performance of teachers of the University of Physical Culture and Sports Sciences (UCCFD) "Manuel Fajardo". The starting point was a pedagogical diagnosis of the teachers; surveys were applied to 15 teachers of the UCCFD of the subjects of the exercise of the profession and 111 students of the first year of the career, also using the IADOV technique to know the satisfaction of the teachers with respect to teamwork as well as the triangulation by method. As a result of this diagnosis, the need for teacher intervention is corroborated, helping them to use the most adequate teaching method for the search of a strategy for the assimilation of the teamwork skill.
