The goal of this book is to investigate novel bioactive compounds isolated from freshwater biota, which is an area of research that has yet to be focused on due to ecosystem instability, variables in temperature, pressure, and humidity, all of which are highly dependent on seasonal conditions. In comparison to other freshwater animals, Barytelphusa cunicularis is a freshwater crab species that is completely new to researchers. Actually, this is an edible species, and while the biodiversity of this species has been extensively examined by many researchers, the food property has yet to be documented (this is the first time we have reported and investigated in this book). This is the most common crab found in India, Maharashtra's northern area. Various studies on this species have been undertaken by various researchers.
