The aim of this work is to combat the illegal fishing of fry and to find out about the yields of the gear and fishing units used to catch these two kalengera fish in Lake Kivu. The method of morphological description of the even and odd fins as well as anatomical by dissection and sexing made it possible to find the results to improve the outputs of these fish it is necessary to make sexing by decreasing the females and to maintain the males which are profitable, separated the alevins, juveniles and fish merchants to avoid the preys and predators. On Lake Kivu in Kalengera, we use the appolo and tile artisanal fishing unit, with 80% of the gear made up of large-mesh gillnets and 20% of prohibited mosquito nets and donkey echo sounders.
