The new Cuban university must guarantee the development of the historical thinking of education professionals, based on the integrative approach of historical science for the analysis of economic, political, social and cultural processes; between the universal, the national and the local; from the dialectic relationship between past, present and future. The volume presents the results of research aimed at solving the problem of how to use local history in the components of the university pedagogical process to improve the initial training of education professionals. For which a systematisation process is developed which resulted in the elaboration of a pedagogical model aimed at improving the initial training of education professionals, based on the use of local history as an integrating element in all the components of the process, in order to graduate a competent professional committed to the Cuban educational project in the conditions of today's world.

About the author










She holds a degree in History and Social Sciences and a PhD in Pedagogical Sciences from the Central University of Las Villas, Cuba. She has participated in international events related to the research topic. She is a member of the research project Didactics of History Teaching. She has published in high impact scientific journals.
