Gerard Magill holds the Vernon F. Gallagher Chair at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, USA, where he is a tenured Professor in the Center for Healthcare Ethics.

Lawrence Prybil is the Founding Norton Professor in Healthcare Leadership at the University of Kentucky's College of Public Health, USA, where he has served as Associate Dean. He also is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Iowa, USA.
