About the author










Sharon Lam Po Tang has a first class BA(Hons) in Textiles Design and an MSc with distinction in Textiles from the University of Leeds, UK. Following her PhD in Technical Textiles, which was supported by the then Acordis Ltd, she went on to do postdoctoral research at Heriot-Watt University, UK, working on EU funded innovation projects. When she left academia, she joined the R&D team at Convatec Ltd, one of the global market leaders in advanced wound care. Sharon subsequently went on to work for SSL International Plc, and Reckitt-Benckiser Plc, continuing to work on the development of medical devices. Since 2014, Sharon has been concentrating on her own personal projects, and has maintained a high level of interest in the development and advances in wound care.
