About the author

Professor Rudolf Dolzer is a Barrister at McNair Chambers, specialising in energy matters, commercial international arbitration, international investment law, and oil and gas. He is former Director of the Institute of International Law, University of Bonn, Germany, former Director General of the Office of the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.
