Informationen zum Autor Rizwi Faizer is an independent scholar, formerly of McGill University. She has previously worked at the Asian Council for Law and Development in Colombo, Sri Lanka, before writing her MA thesis on Muslims Ethno-politics in Sri Lanka at the University of New Brunswick and her PhD in Islamic Studies in Montreal. Of his several writings the most significant is the Kitab al-Maghazi, one of the earliest standard histories of the life of the Prophet. The book deals with the events of the Prophet's life from the time of his emigration from Mecca to his death, and is generally considered to be biographical.
