Die pädagogische Erzeugung der `jüngeren Generation` findet an zwei zentralen Orten statt: der Familie und der Schule. Jugendliche begegnen der `älteren Generation` damit in der doppelten Gestalt von Eltern und Lehrern. Wie Jugendliche diese doppelte Situierung gegenüber der `älteren Generation` erfahren, welche Passungen zwischen Schule und Familie bestehen, wie das Zusammenspiel von Schule und Familie die jugendlichen Bildungs- und Individuationsprozesse fördert oder erschwert, wird in kontrastreichen Fallstudien entfaltet. Auf dieser Grundlage werden die weit ausgreifenden Thesen einer grundlegenden Veränderung der Generationsbeziehungen empirisch ausdifferenziert. Im Anschluss an die Fallstudien zu Jugendlichen zwischen Schule und Familie wird eine Theorie pädagogischer Generationsbeziehungen und einer Ordnung der Generationen entworfen.

About the author










Patrick Casement is a Fellow of the Institute of Psychoanalysis and a Member of the International Association of Psychoanalysis. He was formerly a training analyst of the British Psychoanalytical Society, having been in full-time private practice for many years, now retired. He is the author of numerous publications including Learning from Life (Routledge, 2006) and Learning from our Mistakes (Routledge, 2002).
