About the author

Anil Gomes is Fellow and Tutor in Philosophy at Trinity College, Oxford, and Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oxford. He studied for his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Oxford, before working in the civil service and the Houses of Parliament. His first academic appointment was at Birkbeck College in the University of London. He was appointed to his Fellowship in Oxford in 2011.
