About the author

Luciana Porto de Souza Vandenberghe is a Full Professor at the Department of Bioprocess Engineering and Biotechnology, Federal University of Paraná, Brazil. She obtained her PhD in Génie de Procédés Industriels at Université de Technologie de Compiègne (2000), France. Her areas of interest include industrial enzymes, organic acids, and biopolymers.
Ashok Pandey is currently Distinguished Scientist at the Centre for Innovation and Translational Research, CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, Lucknow, India and & Distinguished Professor in the Sustainability Cluster, School Engineering, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun, India.
Ranjna Sirohi is currently working as Assistant Professor in the School of Health Sciences and Technology, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun, India. Her major research interests are in Bioprocess Technology - Food & Food Waste Valorisation - Waste to Wealth – Biofuels.
Carlos Ricardo Soccol is the research group leader of Department of Bioprocesses Engineering and Biotechnology (DEBB) at UFPR. Professor Soccol has experience in bioprocesses/biological engineering, industrial biotechnology, green fuels technology, applied microbiology and fermentation technology.
