Mika Toyota is a research fellow at the Asia Research Institute, National University of Singapore. She is a social anthropologist whose research focuses on transnational networks, the geopolitics of borderlands, migration, gender and the changing family in Asia. Brenda S.A. Yeoh is Professor of Geography at the National University of Singapore, and the Principal Investigator of the Asian MetaCentre. Her research focuses on the politics of space in colonial and post-colonial cities; and gender, migration and transnational communities.
